...was founded by Robert A. Campbell, a registered Professional Engineer, in 1979 to provide reservoir engineering and economic services for John M. Campbell and Company.  The firm is located in Norman, Oklahoma. An important associate of the firm was Dr. John M. Campbell, Sr., who provided “of counsel” services as were needed. In addition, Campbell & Associates has an ongoing working relationship with renowned professionals throughout the United States and the world who provide services as their particular expertise is required.  

 Robert Campbell is a recognized consultant and author who has written numerous technical articles and manuals but is particularly proud of his contribution as co-author of five industry textbooks. His contribution to the three volume, 869 page treatise titled Mineral Property Economics is an industry standard in the field of reservoir evaluation. Mr. Campbell is a co-author of the manuscripts titled Analyzing & Managing Risky Investments, and it’s predecessors  and Management of Petroleum Investments: Risks, Taxes and Time. He was also a contributing author to the reference book titled Petroleum Evaluation for Financial Disclosures. Mr. Campbell is also the original author of an unique concept in economic modeling and the perception of value.  

 In addition to his engineering consulting activities, Robert Campbell has been an adjunct professor at the University of Oklahoma for graduate level courses and has taught adult training programs dealing with the reservoir characteristics and economic aspects of Project Analysis and reservoir management since 1974. He has presented these courses in South America, Africa, the Middle East, Trinidad, SE Asia, Canada and Europe. These courses were also conducted as in-house programs for over 30 years for companies such as British Petroleum, Amoco and UNOCAL.  Mr. Campbell conducted a series of two week seminars for the U.S. Geological Survey (now MMS) throughout the country for the purpose of formulating procedures and policies for management of the nation's offshore natural resources.  

 Campbell & Associates and it's associated companies are world renowned for their expertise in reservoir management, petroleum economics, project analysis, and reservoir engineering. The staff of Campbell & Associates possesses expertise on petroleum reservoirs and the technical aspects associated with petroleum reservoir management, operations and project economics. The diversified background of the personnel of Campbell & Associates, Inc. creates an exciting association that allows access to distinguished professionals with varied technical backgrounds and experience. Through this association, there are few significant oil producing theaters, nations or companies where Campbell & Associates personnel have not been involved in either training, operations or consulting.  

 In recent years, Campbell & Associates has focused on providing it’s services to numerous clients in the United States utilizing the experience and knowledge base acquired from its extensive dealings throughout the world. Recent activities include assisting clients with their horizontal wells and design and regulatory approval of the commercial disposal wells required for dealing with the large volumes of fluid associated with this type of well. In addition, they have also focused on assisting with the drilling, development, economics and operations of conventional and horizontal oil resources primarily in Texas and Oklahoma.
